There was an elderly tour guide that was very good at explaining the history. Lot of interesting artifacts.
It's important to do the guided tour or you'll miss out on so much. My daughter is 10 and is homeschooled. She loves history and so do I, so it was perfect for us! Thanks for the great tour! Someone said it was expensive. I did not think it was expensive at all. $24 for our family of four. The building are all in one fairly small area- but there are quite a few of them to see. Most historic places like this have lots of walking so for older folks or pregnant women who struggle with walking long distances this is a nice option.
Excellent historical village tour conducted by a gentleman that had descendants in the area of Switzerland that settled this area. Detailed and very interesting!
A bit pricey but it is a neat experance. Lots of history about the area. The people were very nice and we were allowed to go in to the buildings and check it out a bit different from some other places of similar style.
Very fun! I became a family member so we can come again. And again. So much to see! Definitely call before and sign up for a tour. Very informative and most interesting about the Swiss first villagers and their way of life in the formation of New Glarus, and how we stay Swiss. Loved it! My seven year old twins loved it too!
